VINTAGE TUBE RADIOS FOR SALE

FISHER 80 VINTAGE AM-FM TUNER

This is a vintage late 40's , early 50's Fisher Radio AM-FM Tuner built into its original Blonde wood cabinet.  This came from an early hi-fi estate and to our knowleldge is working.  But we have no way to really test this hi-fi item since we have no amp or preamp to run it through.  Although it needs a little glass dial cleanup, the tuner is in very nice original condition and the original wood cabinet is supurlative.  It is sold with the understanding that it powers up electrically.  Due to its weight and fragility, we will pack and ship this tuner in the CONUS for $ 50.00 with insurance.  This tuner requires a preamplifier/amplifier and speakers for proper operation.  It is NOT a stand alone radio receiver, uses external antennas, has no amplified output and has no built in speaker.

PHILCO 60B 1934 CATHEDRAL RADIO

This is a recently found Philco 60B cathedral radio built in 1934.  The cathedral style radio was originally designed by Philco in the early 1930's during the heart of the Great Depression.  This radio has been restored electrically and the wood cabinet is in very nice condition.  This Philco 60B is the oldest version of two model 60B radios that Philco built and this design was the most desirable.  These old cathedral radios are very collectable and we are pleased to be able to offer this one at a very reasonable price.  We estimate that packing, shipping and insurance in the continental USA would run $ 60.00 and would ship by UPS.  Packing and insurance are all important functions when it comes to shipping an old heavy radio like this, so this is not an area where you want to short change spending the necessary money to protect this heirloom from yesterday year.  Think about it, you just can't go down to the local "Best Buy" and find an antique beauty like this . . . . .

E.H. SCOTT ALL-WAVE 15 - 1934 AM-SW RADIO WITH ORIGINAL VICTORIAN ITALIAN CABINET

Cabinet is the original cabinet designed for this Scott beauty.  The Allwave 15 consists of three parts.  The Radio chassis (seen below when the console top is lifted on its piano hinges to show off the chrome) is all chromed in very good original condition including all of the original chromed tube shields.  The chassis mounted on the top shelf of the console.  Just below this shelf is another shelf with the matching chromed power supply in very good condition, and next to it is the original Autotrope speaker system.  All components of this ensemble are all original.  The dial escutcheons are all original including the original wood knobs.  Also the grille cloth is in excellent condition and is the original weave that was shipped with the radio console.  We have restored the radio by restoring the power supply, adding new capacitors and tubes, and added new tubes to the radio chassis.  The speaker is in pristine mint original condition.  After restoration, the radio was aligned and is sounding like a new radio.

Because of the way the cabinet and radio ensemble are built, shipping the radio will be done in 4 parts.  The chassis ships by itself and the radio chassis, power supply and speaker are all individually packed and shipped at the same time.  Due to the size of the cabinet (floor console), we are estimating freight and packing in the USA to run approximately $ 400.00. We will work with the purchaser to get the radio packed securely for transport at the lowest price.  This, of course, would include full insurance on the shipment. This is one exquisite condition EH Scott classic radio.  The E.H. Scott Allwave-15 is in equisite condition.  The Victorian Italian Style cabinet is in actual original condition!

Famous Zenith 12S232 WALTON RESTORED
1937 AM-SHORTWAVE RADIO

Perfect cosmetic condition - Beautiful

Complete restoration - works perfectly

The Zenith 12S232 "Walton" large tombstone radio is one of the items that most collectors feel is a "must-have" radio for their collection.  The Walton radio was made famous by the popular "Waltons" TV series and was predominately shown on TV while the series ran.  This program is still running on cable channels and is still highly rated.  This radio was also used in several movie and TV series, such as "Winds of War" and "Tora-Tora-Tora" and perhaps more.  See pictures below:

This 1937 Zenith is cosmetically perfect with a beautiful walnut case and the correct Zenith "swirl" grille cloth.  This is the famous "Shutter-Dial" set which has a different set of frequencies that are displayed as you change bands..We have electrically restored the Zenith 1204 Chassis and it has been aligned and is very sensitive and working perfectly.  The radio has three bands, AM and two shortwave bands that are accessable with the shutterdial control.  The 12S232 model has a bi-directional motor controlled tuning mechanism that is working perfectly, and we replaced the hard to find dim green eye tube with a new bright tube.  The original bronze bezel has been professioinally polished and adds enormously  to the look of this Walton radio.  The original case and speaker originnally found were damaged beyond repair.  We obtained the cabinet from a Zenith collector  We used a full range permanent magnet speaker to replace the electromagnetic one that could not be repaired.  To do this, we used two Hammond transformers, one as a matching impedance transformer and the other replaced the necessary field coil choke.  This is a terrific sounding radio and is one that you just don't sit on a shelf because you are afraid with its 77 years of age that any moment it might burn something out.  With this restoration, it is restored to use daily and to enjoy.  We offer a new radio warranty with this Walton just like it had when it was built in 1937.  The shipping is included in the continental USA but there is a    $ 50 add on shipping expense if shipped to Alaska or Hawaii,

$ 3,625.00 Packing, Shipping, Insurance CONUS Included

Special UPS packing, insurance and shipping is $ 125 in the USA (included in above price), $ 175 if shipped to Alaska or Hawaii.  Export shipping can be quoted separately from the radio price of $ 3500.00.

We replaced weak tubes with new ones and of course, capacitors and resistors were replaced in the restoration process.  The pushbuttons are working as well.  This is one beautiful 76 year old radio!  It is very sensitive and works very well on the AM and Shortwave band.  This radio comes with our new radio warranty.

( Picture Coming Soon)

This is a Collins Radio AM/CW/SSB Aircraft Transceiver from an estate, untested but complete.  It is the earliest version of the 618-T and is designated 651-S-1A, s/n 5059.  This is the receiver and transmitter for HF Airborn communications from 2 to 30MHz.  This is the transceiver package only without the power supply, or control head.  Both items are listed on various pages and vendors on the web including Fair Radio and Nebraska Surplus Sales  besides some independ websites that offer buy and sell opportunities.  U-Tube has a nice video that you should look at if you are not familiar with the 651S-1A transceivers.

This is a very heavy "black box" so to speak weighing about 52 lbs before packing.  This transceiver is also known with the military designation of AM/ARC94/199/120 and we will provide the complete technical manual with the purchaser of this transceiver published on a CD ROM.
